The Latin Kings is an illegal criminal gang in every country where it exists, but not in Ecuador, the world’s exception, where in 2007 they became the Legal Corporation of Latino Kings and Queens, promising to renounce gang wars. However, thirteen years later, its members are still perceived as dangerous criminals. Coming from the most disadvantaged neighborhoods of Guayaquil, a small group of the Latin Kings, the New Crowns, develop every day missions to help one another, attempting, sometimes unsuccessfully, to leave behind their violent past.
